What is a Prevocational Training and Community Recreational Program?
Prevocational Training and Community Recreational services teach persons with disabilities proper work habits and work skills to improve their ability to achieve supported or competitive employment.
Both Center -Based and Community – Based Prevocational Services are intended to develop and teach general skills. Examples included, but are not limited to:
-Ability to communicate effectively
-Generally accepted community workplaces
-Ability to follow directions
-Ability to attend to tasks
-Workplace problem – solving skills and strategies
-General workplace safety and mobility training
